These are two things I have noticed since 1.2 that have bothered me a bit. I imagine they are both easy to fix. [I fixed the second one myself, but I'm too lazy to do it every update, and it didn't work for 1.20b]
Has anyone else noticed that arielles sheild [sorry about the spelling error; it's the one that adds HP] shows up as simple gray? it's clearly not metal, it just looks like the mesh is missing. I hope that is an easy fix [assuming it's been made]. sure it's not a great shield and i've never had access to it when i would use it, but it looks like it'd be really cool and i value aesthetics (if i wanted flat, plain colored, blobs, i'd play risk)
roads take WAY to long to upgrade to highways. I know you don't want every trail to be a highway, but seriously, even the shortest road take the more than a 100 years in game, the long ones never make it. Heck, the game I'm still playing now I have completed the Master Quest, researched and met the requirements for casting the spell of making. and have dominated half the map (it's a large map) and I still have yet to see one highway. (I only have a few 'trails' left, but only about 30% are 'roads'). I know in the coreroads file you can change the requirements, but really, I'd like to see an official fix.
alternativly, you could make it so that highways are only accessible by tech research, or city size, but then make them fast to build, but that seems like a lot of unnecessary work.
[also, the path and trail styles switched somewhere around 1.1, was this intentional? it just seems.... off.]
sorry, no pics (cause i'm a bit of a distrusting of the inter-webs) but I'm pretty sure some of you guys can verify this (and this is not a critical flaw in the game, just an annoyance that should be easy to eliminate)
